The roof is detailed with two small, attractive spiers and is made of traditional walabash shingles.  These have a 50 year guarantee against damage by winds of up to 180mph.  The gutters are all coated aluminium and the edging on the roof is in copper.

Pass through the gates and the driveway takes you to the two vehicle carport close to the main entrance door.

Your privacy and security is assured as the property is fully fenced and gated and stands in generous grounds covering 19,648 sq.ft. of land.  You will be immediately struck by the natural beauty and tropical colour of the gently sloping mature gardens to the side and front of the Villa. Home to many indigenous plants and trees including mango, lime, banana and golden apple, the gardens of Greenwood Villa are a tropical haven.

Designed with outdoor entertaining in mind, the pool area, sundeck and undercover terrace are key features.  The infinity pool is the perfect place to relax and cool off, as you take in the uninterrupted vista of the rugged Atlantic coastline and Cas En Bas beach.  (There is the option to turn the infinity overflow off should you wish to).  The fully tiled pool is accessed via two sets of steps.  The wooden decking by the pool has sufficient space for at least four sun loungers and sun shade.  There is also an external power supply.  When the sun goes down there’s no reason for the party to end as the house has eight external lights and the garden is lit up is illuminated with a further eighteen lights.  All light sources use energy saving lightbulbs.

The undercover terrace area enjoys the spectacular views found at this villa and is bordered by hardwood wooden railings on the garden side and accessed to the house via three double French doors.  These have separate hurricane-proof shutters.   There are access steps to the pool deck on one side and to the garden on the other.  There is ample seating and this area typifies all that’s wonderful about Caribbean living.

The property benefits from two 10,000 gallon water tanks (each of which has its own independent pump) and receives excellent pressure from the mains supply.  There is a solar tank that holds 80 gallons of hot water.  Power supply is 220v. 

The interior design is a clever blend of Caribbean and Mediterranean styles to ensure the house is kept cool and pleasing to the eye.  The interior and exterior wood finishings are in tropical greenheart hardwood.  This is a local hardwood that is dark brown in colour.  It is also extremely low maintenance, termite free and requires no treatment.

The floors in the Villa are tiled throughout with terracotta tiles interspersed with smaller detail tiles.  The result is a very attractive floor which is also cool to the touch.  The high ceilings and presence of ceiling fans throughout the property also help to maintain a very pleasant interior temperature.

To the left of the entrance hall is the hardwood stair case to the first floor.  Next to this is a storage cupboard fitted with shelves and shuttered doors.  Opposite this is the downstairs powder room.

Powder Room
Triangular in shape, this has a white WC and hand basin.  The vanity unit is attractively tiled with white tiles with blue tile detail.

Living/Dining Area
This is an enormous area that opens out onto the undercover terrace via three double French doors.  The view out to the Atlantic and the verdant mountains beyond is breathtaking.  Although this one room is home to both the lounge and dining areas, there are subtle demarcations that separate the two.

A Plaza television with surround sound stereo sits elegantly in the living room, which exudes modernity and style. The DirecTV satellite system is also installed to maximize the experience of your entertainment system.

Above the dining table at the other end of the room are two fixed Italian-style hanging lights.

Office/Study
As you enter the living/dining area and turn left, there is a modestly sized office/study area just set back from the main living area.

Kitchen
To the right of the dining area is the kitchen, which is a well-proportioned, bright and breezy room providing views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean.  As you enter there is a breakfast bar with space for four to the right.  The ceiling fan compliments the natural breeze and the room is lit with recessed ceiling lighting.  There is a double stainless steel sink with top mixer tap.  The white tiled work surfaces and fitted wooden units complete the well designed kitchen.

Utility
Accessed via the kitchen through louvre doors, the utility area has plumbing and power for a washing machine and dryer.   There is also a white sink and draining board. To the right is a large storage and pantry area.  An external door leads to the carport.

Guest Suite - Ensuite
A delightful, air-conditioned room tastefully decorated with an unrivalled aspect.  The French doors open up onto a private balcony overlooking the swimming pool, the bay at Cas en Bas and the mountains beyond. 
 
Pass through the bedroom into a small hall where there are built in closets with ample storage.  Then walk through into the bathroom.

Bathroom One
A bright room tastefully decorated with white tiles with blue detail.  The large shower cubicle has a frosted glass door.  A single vanity unity and sink finished with brass and chrome fittings.  There is also a corner glass shelf and fitted towel ring.
 
First Floor
The hardwood stairs in the hallway lead to the Master bedroom.

Master Bedroom - Ensuite
A well proportioned room with overhead wooden ceiling fan.  There is air-conditioning should you prefer.  Walk through into a separate room which houses built in closet space and is a walk through to the bathroom.

Beneath the tiled floor is reinforced concrete so creating a solid ceiling for the living area below.

Bathroom Two
The bathroom features a corner shower unit, double vanity unit with two hand basins with stainless steel and brass taps. There is a shaver point (115v and 230v), fitted towel rail and two corner glass shelves.
